It's winter and for those of us who live here it's freezing!

I can see all you who live in cooler areas laughing right now! *grins* But today it was Max 22 (72), minimum 10 (50) and I'm wearing long sleeves, my heavy woollen jumper, two pairs of socks and am currently freezing in the lounge room. This cold weather usually only lasts a couple of weeks, but it always reminds me why I moved here.

I hate the cold! Since I think anything under 26 (79) degrees is cold, that rules out a goodly portion of the world LOL and brings me to my current thoughts...

Like I'm going on the Browncoat cruise in December and although all the literature said it would be warm; I looked up the temperatures for San Deigo in December - and I'm going to be cold! Possibly freezing! And although Mexico may be a little warmer - for me it won't be enough. I'll be the only person on the cruise wearing winter clothes *sigh*.

LOL you think that's freezing? You'd never have survived if you'd been where I grew up in western Nebraska... it regularly went below zero in the winter and the wind was blowing constantly... it was great.

NOT.

Well if anyone post group photos from the cruise, I'll know who it is that's posing in the parka. XD

Yes you'll be able to recognise me instantly! :D

Below zero and windy? You're right I wouldn't have survived *shudders and wishes for summer*

Wow. Ok, you should never come visit Seattle. If I'm reading this right and the numbers in parenthesis are Fahrenheit, then what's too cold for you is about how hot it ever gets during summer here. Well, except for the last few years when we've had a few 90 or 100 days. That is WAY TOO HOT for me. *g*

Yes you read it right and that scares me that that could be your summer temperatures! Wow! For a good part of the year here the temp is over 30 (86) and in summer commonly reaches 38 (100)!

What a good idea - I may have to order some!! They are non-existent in shops in the tropics...

Silk has a lovely way of adapting to any temperature, breathes, can be hand washed in your cabin sink (picture Kaylee doing her "delicates" in the pull-out lav in her bunk) and you can probably order them in brown!

Also - use "penguin logic" and huddle with your fellow Browncoats for warmth!

XD I'm sure you won't be the only one freezing. So just put that from you mind right now. ;) It is December and that does mean cold. Although, I will say that my first winter in the South (meaning NO SNOW) I laughed at everyone all bundled up in hats and scarves and heavy coats. But I've become accustomed to the weather now and I wear hats, scarves and heavy coats when there is no snow. *winks*

You won't be, I promise.

I know not all folks are like me, especially since I love to be warm, but there will be folks who are cold in winter. It happens. It's like gravity. *nods*

LOL, yes, I'm sure I paint a fun picture. You should see me now in this heat, I'm even more amusing! Also, lazy. *snorts* The mornings I ride with my man to work I look so funny with my light jacket on... but that's only because I don't want to change into real clothes that early in the morning, lol!

*giggles* I'm cold *nods*. You live in Tasmania so you're used to it *grins* and probably have warm clothes and a heater too?? Though I gotta say I'm glad I'm not there - you'd run away from my whining!!
