ladytalon1's prompt and is set in her (non)AU Day Break 'Verse An Internal Affair. Set between Chapters 25 & 26 of that series. Prompt: Chad/Andrea – shaving. I am absolutely hopeless at titles *sigh*, I'd like a better one if anyone out there suggests it!!
“Do we have to?” Chad pouted and looked at her pleadingly.
“I could get Rita or one of the other nurses to do it,” Andrea smiled wickedly.
“No,” Chad’s voice rose. “If it has to be done, I’d rather you did it.”
“It has to be done.”
“Why? I thought you liked a bit of scruff.”
“Oh I do,” Andrea looked at him appraisingly. She loved seeing her perfectly turned out man with whiskers darkening his jaw. “But you’re way past scruffy Sarge and bordering on Sasquatch.”
“Sasquatch?” Chad shuddered and gave in. “Alright. But tell me you’ve done this before – please?”
Andy shook her head and grinned at him mischievously. “Nope. It’s my first time. Look,” she studied his mulish expression. “I know you want to shave yourself, but you can’t yet and I like to help.”
Chad sighed. He knew she was right. He just hated being so helpless and dependent on everyone. He’d never be able to even hold the razor though; he got tired just holding Andy’s hand. “Do I get a reward after?” he asked hopefully.

“This is harder than it looks.” Andrea drew the razor carefully down Chad’s cheek.
“You’re doing fine,” he leant back against the pillow and watched as she bit her lip in concentration. God she was beautiful. “I could get used to this.”
“Well don’t,” she stroked the razor gently under his nose and bent to kiss his lips. “The spoiling stops as soon as you’re out of here.”
“I’m not spoilt,” Chad protested returning the kiss and nuzzling her neck. “Mmmmm.”
“Not much your not,” Andrea swatted him away unaware she now had shaving cream all over her neck. “Your mother comes by every day and brings food, Ramiro lugged that ridiculous tv in here and watches sports with you, and I can’t come in here without falling over someone from the team. If that’s not spoilt I don’t know what is.”
“I’m just lovable is all.” Chad relaxed into the soothing stoke of the razor.
“Huh,” Andrea snorted and stepped back to look at her handiwork. “Wanna see?” She grabbed the mirror she’d bought and held it up to his face.
Chad looked in surprise at the unfamiliar face in front of him. “You gave me a goatee?”
“I like scruff remember?” Andrea’s kiss was a whole lot more potent this time. “When you’re better you can do what you like, but right now I’m in charge.”
“Mmmm,” Chad said again, kissing her back fervently and causing her to melt against him. “I like strong women covered in shaving cream.”
“What?!” Andrea bent forward to look in the mirror and eyed the cream on her neck. “I see you’re getting better.” She caressed his freshly shaved cheek and kissed him again lightly. “Just don’t run before you can walk Sarge – promise me?”
“I can’t even sit up yet,” Chad grumbled.
“You will. It takes time you know.”
“I know, and I guess I could promise if I got that reward you promised me.”
“Oh no,” Andrea’s expression grew sultry. “I think you’ll have to wait till you’re better for that.”
“Tease,” Chad sputtered, then grinned wickedly as a plan flashed through his brain. “I’m going to take you up on that.”

Date: 2007-06-17 12:25 pm (UTC)(I got the giggles, because BBM is always finding sneaky ways to leave shaving cream on me in the morning and often I don't find it until after he's left for work!)
....Oh yeah... you ARE gonna write THE PLAN, aren't you? *pokes*
