Comments: Originally written for ficlets100sequel to the drabble series Resistance. It's so long since I've written for this table and I'm not sure about this one. Tell me what you think???


Kaylee hated it. She hated that Jayne never talked to her no more. That he never came dump divin’, or drinkin’, didn’t play hoopball on her team and wouldn’t even sit near her.

He wouldn’t come to the engine room unless the Captain ordered him, and then he was grumpy and kept their conversation on work only. He’d stopped arguin’ with her and didn’t even get angry no matter how much she prodded.

He talked and laughed with River, teased Zoë and joked with Inara. He’d chat with Book, the Captain and even Simon.

Her he ignored. Kaylee hated it.

Had to go back and read the others... and I totally side with Jayne on this one!

Kaylee needs to get over herself and apologize... for REAL this time!

Poor Kaylee - things just spiralled out of control and she didn't how to behave.

Hopefully she will apologise and the happy ending will eventuate :)

I don't think I'd read the original drabbles, so went back and did so, and I totally agree with Jayne here! Talk about some misdirected anger on Kaylee's part! Sometimes I just want to shake her, you know? *g* I love how you're able to tell this story so succinctly! Nicely done! And it'll be interesting to see where this goes from here.

This one fits in very well - continues the flow! I had to go back to re-read the others and enjoyed it again! Ignoring Kaylee would be worse than yelling at her; Jayne's behavior is so in character, I think.

So are you planning to continue this to show how Kaylee wins back Jayne's trust and friendship??? Would love to read it!

Kaylee really needs to stop with the whinging shininess she gets when frustrated and angry. Jayne had to deal with his fair share of whiny sisters growing up and Kaylee is just doing that all over again.
