I think it sounds really fun! Are you thinking about trying it? I'd love to hear how it goes. However, I think it might tempting to just "dismiss" people who don't have the same taste as you.
It does sound like fun, if only for the novelty. But I live about 5000kms away so I won't be trying it! I think I'm too set in my ways these days too...:)
