You know I'm writing a fic basically about this same thing, and it really bothers me. Danny's comment in the season 1 finale that he doesn't have a life in Hawaii, while blatantly not true, is half-right in the sense that, based on the way the show portrays the arrangement with Rachel, he CAN'T have a life...period.
I mean even assuming he's straight, he couldn't be with anyone, he couldn't remarry like Rachel because what if Grace left? That makes me so mad because of how unfair it is.
