Thanks to all my flisters who answered my last post and offered to come work for me! I'd have you all in a minute for sure!
As predicted, I have been persona non grata since the meeting on Wednesday. One of the girls hasn't voluntarily spoken to me since, but has had plenty of time to send niggling emails about every facet of an upcoming event. But the thing that annoys me most is the attempt to make me look stupid to my boss..(I'm pretty sure it was deliberate)
Our hour-long monthly meeting is coming up on Monday. To make things easier everyone gets a draft agenda a few days before the meeting so they can provide other topics if required. There's a deadline for this so I can have a finalised agenda for everyone to read before Monday. Since I was working on the front desk (pregnant girl was too tired to come to work, my reliable staff members are on holiday, and entitled girl was on her too long lunch), I sent the draft in an email from our generic email (the one the public is given). I should say that I very rarely actually look at the generic email, that's supposed to be someone else's job. By this afternoon I hadn't had any reply from either troublemaker so sent out the finalised agenda and went to a meeting with my boss. At the meeting she asked me if I was going to discuss topics from recent emails (I'll spare you the rant about just clicking on reply to all till another day). I'm all 'what emails'?
They had both sent sent replies with oceans long lists of things to discuss Monday by clicking reply to all and not including me on my actual email!! Urgggh!
If my boss hadn't told me, I'd turn up at the meeting and look like a stupid dickhead when they say 'oh but we sent a list'. I'm actually pissed off now and not my usual default mode of cynical live and let live. I have answers to their puerile lists and a rant about reply to all emails all ready for Monday's meeting and my boss is coming and knows what they've been doing! *sticks out tongue*
This makes me want to leave more than ever but unfortunately I didn't get the job I interviewed for :(
There's two more advertised and although I think I'm not high-powered enough for this one or technical enough for for this one, I'm applying for them anyway.

Date: 2011-05-13 02:23 pm (UTC)Sorry to hear you didn't get the other job, but definitely don't let any doubts keep you from applying for others. Sounds like it's definitely time for a change. *hugs*
P.S. I'd love to come work for you! I've even got library experience! There is, however, the pesky problem of that large body of water between us. It'd make for a heck of a commute. ;)
