Ramble time

It's my last day home today - back to work tomorrow for me and back to school for the LG. I'm feeling a lot better and got all productive today and ironed all the uniforms for the week!

The LG starts in his new classroom tomorrow. I hope he goes ok, moving classes half-way through the school year could be confusing.

Fandom wise I think the LG has been successfully indoctrinated into geekdom. After watching Star Trek with me he said "it was great but I liked Serenity better". He likes Jayne's guns :) And the other day he reproached me for, (my Mag7 flisters will like this) 'rousing him from his down pillow', complete with Ezra's accent and intonation.

Somehow I managed to be the Firefly driver at crack_van this month, and Magnificent Seven next month :) I'm also up to recap The Message at bigdamn_rewatch in a couple of weeks time.

I joined merlinaustralia in order to actually have someone to squee with when the actual episode was on, but unjoined pretty smartly. There was just too much capslock and not much actual discussion. The LG and I have much better discussions :D But itinerant_vae provided me with an awesome fic rec - so all was not lost *hugs her*.

I wrote a whole 2 paragraphs of my smallfandomfest Chuck/Casey story. Cross your fingers I can finish it - then I want to really work on my Firefly Big Bang fic.

Congratulations on a successful geek indoctrination. It always makes me smile when I'm able to brainwash introduce the kids to my fandoms and especially when they quote them back to me. I could not be more proud :)
