A challenge!!

ff_roundrobin but since the lack of response over there at the moment is making me sad, I thought I'd post it here instead...
Now the mission - should you choose to accept it is :-
I'll post the first chapter here and someone offers to help me finish it in time for Valentine's day.

Comments: Basic premise from the original writers - Mal has gathered the men of Serenity together to form a coalition. If they stick together they can get through Valentine's day unscathed! I'm envisioning that the men will end up one by one betraying the oath somehow.
