I commented on
ladytalon1's journal and she asked me about these seven interests :-
Blake's seven
Blake's7 was a BBC series that ran for 4 seasons in the late 70's early 80's. I loved this show. It was probably responsible for my love of the morally ambiguous 'hero' types I tend to always like in either fiction or tv/movies. Despite the awful costumes and clunky sets, the story-lines were dark, the humour sardonic and the characters interesting. The show finale still lives in my memory to this day. It's worth checking out.
My favourite character was Avon. A computer criminal with few morals, he ends up doing the right thing often only by default or if it suits him. I loved the actor's voice...

And OMG see what I mean about the costumes????
cult tv
Most tv shows I end up liking tend to attract this label. I have no idea why :0
Day break
A short lived TV series which I got interested in because Adam Baldwin was in it. It was
ladytalon1's fic which really drew me in. I read it before seeing the show and got addicted to her pairing Chad Shelten/Andrea Battle, Chadrea. I got so addicted I wrote some stories that fit into her 'Verse.
Ezra Standish
Ezra is a character in the tv series Magnificent Seven. He's the gambler of the group who become lawmen in a Western town. He fits into my profile in that he's hot, has some great one-liners, a beautiful voice and uses a gun...

Magnificent seven
Magnificent seven was a TV series that ran for a couple of seasons back in 1998-1999. Even though it was historically inaccurate, something which drives me insane, it had all the things to attract me. It was a Western, one of my favourite genres either in fiction or film. Michael Biehn was one of the main cast members and I'd watch anything with him in and it had potential to be a good series. So naturally it got cancelled...
Reading
My total addiction. I read all the time and have been known to read the phone book when desperate. In general I have a book in my bag, one at work, one in the car and naturally a couple going at home. My failure to walk past any book shops drives my family crazy and when we go away I'm banned from visiting more than one book shop a day.
Surf club
I always wanted to be in the Surf club. But when I was a girl, up till I was about 17, girls weren't allowed to compete. Years later when the little guy joined our local club I went along as a mum and ended up getting a lot more involved. I've currently completed my Bronze Medallion and now am on the Patrol roster and this year will probably compete in the swimming events for the club.

Date: 2008-08-07 01:18 am (UTC)Reading! Hee. When I go out shopping with the girls, I'm not allowed in the book shop. They KNOW how long I'll be in there.
As I only have one interest currently listed as a result of my rebellion against censorship, I'll have to pass. XD
