where have you been? or why I haven't been posting much lately...

I'm tired, tired, tired and am stuck big time with the fic *sigh*. In the past month I've failed to finish my main Jaylee fic for summerofjaylee, failed to finish my AU Jayne/Mal for the shiny_hats ficathon and am currently spending my lunch hour staring at part 6 of Chrysalis.

But all that shall change *determined face*. I have 4 days (more or less) of July left. I can finish something!!! Please cross fingers, eyes and legs for me! :D

In other news - I've been busy (hence the tiredness), finally getting my position at work regraded. After almost 10 years of trying, my pay has now gone up and I'll be paid more than the people I'm supervising! *woot* I've also acquired a new position title and 2 more staff to oversee, so have been busy writing position descriptions (my own included), selection criterias and the like. My new title? Manager Libraries and Cultural services.

I've also been catching up with my old/new fandom of Magnificent Seven. The 2 seasons of that show had everything I liked. A western setting, hot guys with guns and the potential to last a lot longer than it did. Of course it got cancelled. Since the DVDs are now on sale, there's been a bit of a resurgence and I've had fun participating in the current re-watch going on.

The little guy has been busy with winter sport, meaning I've kept occupied hauling him around to soccer, surf club and athletics. Thank goodness next week I have two weeks off!!!

Yep snow in Sydney! *shivers* Some of our state got snow, down south, but up here it's just cold. It was almost 65 degrees! That's pretty cold for here. LOL

Heh, I know that feeling. I'm about two weeks overdue with a challenge, another will end on July 31st and I haven't written a syllable, and I never finished that Casey/Chuck fic (even though I know what's supposed to happen; I'm just scared of the blowjob scene)...

What is it with so many fic writers stuck in the Slough of Despond? This summer/winter (depending on your hemisphere) has been an ass-kicker for just about everybody on my flist.

With all you do to keep the not-so-little-anymore-guy busy and work to boot, I'm always amazed that you find any time to write.
