You simply must see The Apartment. It's one of my all time favorites. Shy and bumbling Jack Lemmon, arrogant and conceited Fred MacMurray, and naive but not so innocent Shirley MacLaine. I... think I need to watch it again. *g*

To my shame, I haven't seen as many of the older classics from the 50's and 60's as I thought I would have, but I have seen many of those from the more recent times. Though LOTR is the last one on the list for me, too. *G*

Well I've seen nothing before Sound of Music nor anything after LotR and very few in between. I blame Hollywood.

I'll start caring about best picture when a superhero flick wins. ;-)
