Still travelling!

Here I am at Narita airport on the next leg of my trip and whiling away the time till my plane leaves for LA. The Yahoo cafe here is offering free internet, so I'm attempting to catch up with my flist and email the little guy etc. Any strange punctuation blame on the Japanese keyboards...I keep pressing the wrong things.

The flight from　Cairns was uneventful, funnily enough it was only an hour or so longer than my train trip from home. We travelled a whole lot further though!! I was seated next to someone who didn't talk and the food was, as it always is with Qantas/JAL, very nice.

The flight includes an overnight stay here in Narita, so this morning I took the bus into town and had a look around. I wasn't game enough to go right into Tokyo, it's an hour and a half each way and I didn:t want to miss the plane. But I went to the local Temple and had a look around, and to one of the shopping malls. The bus took all the back streets and I got a look at the housing etc - things I:m always interested in. I like to see how others live!

So now I have a nine hour flight to LA and then the train to San Diego arriving Wednesday afternoon finally. Talk to you all then :)

Too bad you haven't had a chance to take any pictures...it's the little things that are so interesting! I mean, I want to hear all about the cruise and all that fun stuff...but the trip is half the fun, anyways. Damn you, lack of passport!
