Fortunately for me, since I forgot all about it, the mod at the two_of_us fic challenge has extended the deadline for fic. I now have till the 15th - Yay!

I'm bunnyless and procrastinating. So any ideas for the following prompt are gladly accepted. *begging eyes* The prompt is a Beatles lyric and it's just a jumping off point - but I have no idea where to jump off too...

I don't have any bunnies, but the words strike me as either River-centric (as we've seen her struggle throughout Serenity), or Zoe-centric (post-BDM).

It also could be a troubled relationship on the brink of ending - perhaps where one person is treated really rotten and it has taken a long time to see it - and they get angry. Obviously, that's not fandom or pairing specific, but I'm just throwing out my (very poor) thought process on the stanza.

I agree that the lyrics scream River, or Zoe like Monkey suggested and I like her idea. But perhaps if you gave us the pairings you are willing to write for, I could try and think of specific plot ideas?

Definitely Zoe post-BDM; I see this as an introspective piece from her POV. Or maybe a fic in which Zoe finally blows a gasket? You could see hints of it when she went ballistic during the Reaver attack. I can see Zoe finally having a screaming tantrum, probably at Mal.
