River opened her mouth, but the words didn’t come. They were there; she thought them - and thought them with clarity. But when the words did come, they were jumbled and meaningless; she couldn’t articulate, couldn’t verbalise, and couldn’t make herself understood.

He was no good with words either. His sentences came with haste and sometimes without forethought, he was often misunderstood, maladjusted and mean.

Her actions speaking louder than words, River moved closer in fellow feeling, wanting company, seeking understanding.

Opening her mouth, she accepted his and the uncertain words disappeared. Clarity was obtained and speech was not required.

Oh, how I love this! Perfect correlation between the two. They are both such physical creatures and would relate as such.

I love the part about Jayne being misunderstood. At least River can understand him...with her lips. ;p
