Oh dear

I suck at being the Tooth Fairy.

I've forgotten three days in a row to leave money for that oh so anticipated event - loosing a tooth!

These are the sort of things I'm hopeless at.

Tonight I must do it! Cross your fingers that I remember :)

Great! After you've finished leaving the little guy his loot, you can hang up that smoke detector that's been sitting around your house for the last month.

You can do it, Fran! I believe in you. LOL.

Erk! Been there, done that.

I had to write myself a note and leave it where I'd be sure to see it just before I went to bed - in my case, I hid it (so the little guy wouldn't see it) in the medicine cabinet behind my contact lens case.

Good luck!

Oh yes, you must remember!

How much is a tooth running these days?

To "make up" for it, have the tooth fairy write your little one a note, maybe even explaining the adventures he/she's been on, that made him/her late.

My son has a tooth fairy assigned to his case - he's actually a "dentition sprite" nick-named "Curl", because he likes to ride the astral waves. He's very much a surfer-dude type. He leaves letters (on official Tooth Fairy letterhead) telling him little tooth-related trivia ,and occasionally leaves little shells and trinkets in addition to money.

Das Kind is so thrilled to receive the letters, he doesn't really notice if they're a day or two late. I just tell him that "Curl must be riding a really good wave, and he'll write when he can."
