Andrea sat and stared at the phone, willing it to ring.
She didn’t even know how their argument had started, but it had escalated quickly and they’d both said things they didn’t mean. She knew he didn’t mean it, but it had really hurt when Chad had compared her to Rita. Being compared to his ex infuriated her; what that woman had done to her Sarge burned Andrea up every time she thought about it.
Still she wished she hadn’t run off when Chad was out with Meredith. She should have waited and talked things over and given him a kiss goodbye. Especially since he’d be gone for two weeks! That was the longest they’d been apart since getting together and Andrea was already missing her big, beautiful man.
She glanced at the clock for probably the millionth time and sighed. Her Sarge was going to ring, she knew it. They could never stay mad at each other long and often both started apologising at the same time. But Chad wouldn’t even have landed in Germany yet, so she couldn’t ring him instead and stop him worrying.
Andrea sighed again and picked up the book on his nightstand. ‘Semiclassical Theory of Mesoscopic Quantum Systems’? Well that should keep her busy trying to figure it out while she waited for him to call…

Awwwwwww! Of course she is! And when the month's up and he's back there will be a welcome home celebration to end all welcome home celebrations ;) Or so I'm told. By, you know, me. lol!
