ladytalon1's prompt and is set in her AU Day Break 'Verse and takes place sometime during her story An Internal Affair.
“Watch out!” the cry echoed down the hall as Andrea entered it.
“Ooof,” she gasped as frantic elbow caught her in the ribs. Turning quickly she chased the man fleeing in front of her. “Oh no you don’t,” she grabbed his shirt and swung him into the wall.
He flailed back at her and they crashed to the ground. Wriggling quickly around, Andrea kneed her opponent in the groin and flipped him over onto his face.
“Good job Battle,” a familiar meaty hand joined hers and brutally ground the prisoner’s face into the carpet.
“Thanks,” she said a trifle breathlessly as she caught the concern in his eyes.
“You alright?” Chad muttered out of the side of his mouth.
“Yeah,” she nodded snapping the handcuffs on. “No trouble here Sergeant Shelten.” She added louder for the audience’s benefit.
“Maybe you should keep tighter hold of your prisoners next time,” he suggested stalking off arrogantly.
“Typical,” Hopper had joined her. “He didn’t even bother to get the facts of the matter before putting you down.”
“I’m not worried about him,” Andrea returned, marching her prisoner back to Haight’s desk and giving him a scornful look. “Next time watch better.”
