Sometimes my computer is a pain

squish_67 gave me a neat plot bunny the other day for Corresponding notes which I finally sat down and started writing last night.

Tonight I'm nearly finished and the computer freezes everything! I do all the endless end now and do you want to save this document stuff and it didn't!!! I've got the stuff from about an hour ago - but nothing since, and I wrote so much in that time (it all came together at once) *mourns*. It's nearly midnight so I'm going to bed and hope I can remember the rest in the morning *sigh*.

Do you use MS Word for your stuff? Because that exact same thing happened to me with More Than Friends and I was stressing something terrible about it, but then when I fired up Word the next day, the AutoRecover option had it right there for me. So I'd check that, if I were you. *hopes you have Word*

I sure hope you managed to recover your fic. There are few things more frustrating than to get a breakthrough, start dancin' with your muse, and then lose your work. :{

What a shame BBM can't make a service call to AU, since cyber magick is what he does for a living! Like Jayne, he really knows his trade.
However, oxy-acetylene torches are more my realm...good for soldering gold and silver, not helpful for fixing computers... unless you're REALLY angry with them!

I lost a 2000 word chapter like that once, and even though you can usually recreate a rough estimation of what you had written - it just can't match the flow of that original creative burst. Makes you wish for the good old pen-and-paper days.
