Dear Ma, Patience thats her name dont like paying for what she can take Mal does the job he wants to get paid them two things aint compatible sometimes. The Doc weren’t hurt and hes been busy had to fix the girls dog too he didnt like that shes a mite calmer now. Since Kaylee cant get around real good she made this for Mattie Love Jayne

Dear Ma, the Doc rubs me the wrong way and that aint gonna change. The dog was thrown round a bit in the turbulence and its ribs broke it sits with Kaylee most days. Nara got a few scratches too it made Mal madder than ever hes sleeping with her now. Everyone liked your presents mine are the best socks ever Love Jayne
