Tie
“Why can’t Mal go?”
“The suit’s made for a giant that’s why.”
“I can’t help I’m more manly than you. Why in the ‘Verse do I gotta wear that?”
“Its part of the costume Jayne, it was traditional for that era.”
“Gorramn thing’s like to cut off my circulation.”
“Quit complaining. Kaylee didn’t complain at all.”
“Kaylee’s got one bit of nothin’ to wear. I got trousers, a shirt, a coat and a ruttin’ tie! And,” he added resentfully, “she ain’t even wearin’ a bra.”
“No unders neither,” the girl replied cheerfully.
“No unders?” Jayne brightened. “Things are lookin’ up.”

Crowd
“Ow!” Kaylee moved closer to him.
They’d finished the job and were tryin’ to make their way through the crowd. “What’s the matter?” he asked.
“Some fella tried to grope me,” she glared at him indignantly.
Jayne reached out and pulled her nearer. Scowlin’ menacingly around he rested his hand on her hip. “Let anyone try and touch ya now.”
Suddenly the crowd surged and they ended up plastered against each other, makin’ Jayne real aware of the girl’s small, but womanly body.
“Kaylee, ya really wearin’ no unders?”
She melted against him and fluttered her eyelashes. “Wanna find out?”
