Glad to help with the plot bunnies. I don't know why, but I have this "thing" about injuries. Living on a spaceship and being borderline illegal, it's bound to happen that someone is going to have something permanent happen to them. And with Kaylee working in the engine room, I'm surprised something hasn't happened to her already.
