Feb. 2nd, 2009 12:07 pmThe cyclone crossed the coast at 12.00am about 90 kms North of here. Fortunately the winds, while still gale force, weren't as bad as they could have been. So I still have my roof thank the PTB!
We got the rain though and so did the upper catchment area. Which means we are now experiencing flooding. The weather bureau is predicting a major flood, 16 meters of water at one point.
My place doesn't flood, but the town does and I'm currently at work with my car half way across town because the river goes right through the middle of the main street! *sigh* I may have to wade to my car this afternoon...
