Good grief. Would the kids even be interested in those books if they hadn't been singled out? And how exactly is the library going to restrict access to them? The place I used to work kept newspapers behind the counter, but that was only because people used to steal them. Keeping "restricted" material behind the counter hides it from sight completely, because people simply lose sight of the fact that it exists.
