“John Casey! Is that you?”

John turned and scowled. He only knew Sarah, Chuck and the various hangers on. “Do I know you?”

“You pulled my hair for a whole year once,” the pretty blond scowled back. “And I’ve never forgotten it.”

“Fran?” Casey almost goggled at her. The third grade tomboy was well and truly gone. Silky blond tresses were pulled back in a sexy plait, and she filled out her very short tennis dress in all the right places.

“Yeah that’s me,” she gave him a sassy grin. “I thought you had some really important job in Washington?”
