A day in the life of the clumsy and hopeless...
Here's a couple of photos I took yesterday at the beach. I'm testing my phone's camera so they're not the best quality, but the little guy loves seeing himself on the net - so I'm posting them.

Concentrating on the fish...
After our nice time on the beach we had our usual series of disasters that punctuate our lives. The poor little guy while practising his casting in the backyard ran straight into a pole and banged his jaw.
After 4 hours of crying and trying every home remedy I knew we had to drive to the hospital in town. (I ran out of child's Panadol and don't have any other pain-killers) While I was opening the gate I dropped the only key to the house I have in the grass! *is hopeless* Since it was night-time by now I couldn't find it, so I gave up and took him to the hospital. When we got there and finally got let in the door, casualty was deserted and we had to go searching for the nurse. The little guy found her in the end and we got seen to at last. He didn't break anything thank goodness and just has massive bruises and sore gums *sigh of relief*.
Of course once we got home I still couldn't find the key to get in. But the front door lock is hopeless (don't tell anyone, but I hardly ever even lock it), so we broke in and put the injured child to bed. I was so exhausted after this I went to bed and didn't write any of my WIPs *mourns*.
This morning we conducted the great key search and the little guy found it wedged between the palings on the gate! It never even landed in the grass...
Cross your fingers we do better today - he's all set to go fishing again and there's lots of poles at the jetty we're going too!
