Still flooded

We're still flooded in and cut off from town. Fortunately where I live, at the beach, our streets don't really get flooded. But the poor folks in town are innundated. My niece has water up to higher than the fence at her place and people are being evacuated from low-lying areas.

Lucky for me I had lots of stuff in the freezer and long-life milk etc. But we're running out of eggs and things because Mum keeps cooking :) Our little supermarket is open and they're expecting a food drop today so people are anxiously waiting for this. Folks in town are having there food delivered by the SES (State Emergency Services).

The top half of our state is now declared a natural disaster area.

Cross your fingers that the lows just off the coast don't develop into cyclones. There would be even more devastation...

Check out the photos. Anything related to our area has Ingham in the caption

Ok, I know we're supposed to send condolences and positive thoughts,I think I've become desensitized to floods after growing up in a house where the backyard flooded every summer like clockwork. Hope you guys are safe though.

On a lighter note.
