Horrified

The little guy wants me to download The Veronicas to his MP3 player *reels*!!! Worse still he also wants the soundtrack from High School Musical! *gulps*

What are they teaching him at that school? Am I in for a lifetime of totally banal pop music? God help us...

I downloaded AC/DC for him as a deterrent :) And of course since I refuse to buy songs online, most of his music is what I have on CD anyway. He knows every word of On the Drift from the Bedlam Bards *wipes brow*

I have some Veronicas if you want me to email it to you... if you don't mind corrupting him a little.

I actually think it's great. I love all kinds of music from pop to rap, classical to metal. He should be getting into everything. i pride myself on having a collection so big and varied that i gaurantee that anyone who looks through it will find soemthing they like.

Trust me, they grow out of it; I used to listen to New Kids on the Block and Janet Jackson. Then I discovered Depeche Mode, The Cure and the Sex Pistols in high school and never looked back. *g8

I've never heard of Veronicas.

My daughter saw High School Musical at her cousins house a couple years ago and now has the posters hanging on her wall (bought with personal b-day money). So, I'm feeling you.

When I volunteer at the school all the girls are wearing HM shirts and the like, so it's definitely an influenced thing. I think it's only going to get worse from here on out. They’re not our little robots anymore. *sniffles*

They're an Aussie girl duo. Very poppy. They also grew up right near me.

How have you been haven't seen you on MSN for ages. Miss chatting with you.

High School Musical. Argh. (although, hee! Little Simon)

My Narl's MP3 player might as well belong to Dean Winchester, and it's all his choosing.

Of course, he asked for "I'm Too Sexy" yesterday. Still debating the merits of giving in to that one...but I rationalize it as "Dean would TOTALLY listen to that song when no one else is looking." *nods*

*hangs head in shame*

I have that song...

Hahaha, that's great! His main job as a pre-teen is to drive you nuts. :D Don't worry, he'll get over it. Don't you remember liking some crazy things at that age?

Oh yeah, man, you've gotta nip that in the bud RIGHT NOW. Strap him down and make him listen to Dylan, the Beatles, Chuck Berry, etc, etc.

Oh my heavens. (*wrings hands and frets with you*)
